Which blinds are cordless

Blinds can come in an array of styles and control types, from cordless 'by-design' to cordless options that have to be selected - There are many blinds that can be fitted that are cord-free.

We've made an easy guide here, with links to various blinds: View our cordless blinds page

What are cordless blinds?

Chainless Vertical Blind
Cordless blinds are blinds where the control cords, or pull cords, are removed in favour of another system.  An example of this would be a 'sprung-loaded' or 'tensioned' roller blind.

Another example is chainless-weights on Vertical Blinds; where you would traditionally have link chains connecting the slats/panels at the bottom, there is an option to choose 'free-weights', or 'encapsulated-weights'.  These are either sealed in, or hang freely in the bottom pocket.

Can I change my blind to be cordless?

Generally speaking yes, but it really depends on the blind type, and if your manufacturer offers a replacement headrail or blind system.

An example of this, is changing your Vertical blinds from a cord-control to a wand pull & tilt control.  This can be achieved with a replacement headrail.
