Following our blinds appearance on the new interiors show, we know you would love the chance to get a little more insider information about the featured items!
Changing Rooms' very own celebrity designer, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen hand selected the blinds he wanted to use directly from our website. Taking time to choose blinds that would ensure a stylish finish whilst being practical for the space he was updating.
Up first we have the statement Forever Peacock Living room that Laurence put together for the lovely Claire’s lifeless living room, with a nod of approval from best friend Joe in episode 1. Featuring our cream aluminium venetian Blinds, Turin 25mm Grain Barley. Aluminium venetians offer excellent light control and maintain a slim profile. Perfect for narrowed recessed windows.
We’re absolutely loving the cheerful colours used in this tropical paradise, our blinds allow natural light to flow through the room and brighten up a once tired living room.
Next is Sarah’s bedroom, fabulously put together by Laurence's to turn a mundane bedroom into a 'Baha Boho' paradise. Laurence used Sarah’s past travel life as directed by pals Tom & Richard to take inspo from the Bahamas, using our statement faux Deco Callo Wooden Blinds to add the finishing touch. These colours and textures create an ultimate opulence style that isn’t for the faint hearted.
Our Wooden Blinds complemented the pretty pastels perfectly and ensured the privacy that Sarah needed while allowing a great amount of light to flow through.
The Villa Villaness
Keith and Kath briefed Laurence with a comic and bold coloured styled room to suit their neighbours and close friends Sophie and Kerry’s love for the world of comic books and deep purple tones. Laurence took a daring purple explosion for the bespoke bedroom with a touch of luxury and class by adding a decorative ceiling. Another bold move from the king of darkness was the busy colour pallet of walls! Once again Laurence himself chose our Unishade Mulberry Vertical Blinds to complete this one of a kind masterpiece while adding privacy and functionality to the couples adventurous bedroom.
In episode six we see friends Leanna and Jamie swap houses with neighbour Donna and team to transform their rooms. Leanna and Jamie have high hopes for Donna and Laurence as they take their beige lounge and create a maximalist masterpiece with forest green shades, botanical wallpaper, 3-D leaf panels and a sky-inspired ceiling in a ‘controlled explosion’. Laurence finished the Ginterloude abode by switching it up and creating a striped effect with our Blackout Vertical Blinds to add a functional and private window solution, we love the finished result!
Over the series we have seen friends and award-winning design experts come together to create bespoke loud looks to take home owners across the UK out of their comfort zones, the perfect entertaining paradise!
