Measure in three places, across the top, middle and the bottom, this allows for any variances (such as part tiled walls).

Use the smallest of these measurements - We will make a small deduction to ensure that the blind fits perfectly within the recess, allowing for the blind fixtures and fittings.

If installing outside of a window recess, measure the recess in three places, across the top, middle and the bottom, this allows for any variances. Then add a minimum of 10cm to the widest measurement for the overlap. This will give you your exact overall blind width.

Measure the recess drop (length/height) in three places, from top to bottom across the left, middle and right side of the internal window opening, this allows for any variances.

Use the smallest of these measurements - No deductions will be taken from your measurement.

If your blind does not sit within a recess or you simply want us to make a blind to your sizes with no deductions, measure the overall drop you require from top to bottom, including the blind headrail and any overlap to ensure you get full coverage. Then add a minimum overlap of 10cm to the top and bottom. This will give you your exact overall blind width.

If you have a wooden baton above the recess, we advise you to measure from the top of the baton to where you want the blind to finish as your exact drop.

These are attractive blinds and would be great if they fitted. What annoys me is I rang the company specifically to ask which measurement to use as it was for a tight space between 2 walls which were partially tiled. We discussed all this. When they arrived they were nearly 1 cm wider that the space even though I’d done what their employee told me. Luckily I have a handy man that can sort it . I dint bother with the insurance as I relied on the info from the man I’d spoken to, as I assumed he knew what I should do. So a bit disappointing that they don’t fit because they are attractive blinds for my bathroom window. So that’s something they need to sort. I would buy from them again because the blinds are nice but I’d need a lot more reassurance that they’d actually fit the space.

This product is very popular and we have had some fabulous reviews for it. The blind you have ordered is quite wide so will be slightly heavier. We do recommend that when operating your blind, you do hold the bottom bar with the other hand, so that all the pressure is not been used on the mechanism. As a new blind, the mechanism may need to be used a few times, before the operation is smooth.
