Bifold Shutters

Shutters provide far greater flexibility when it comes to controlling the amount of light that enters your rooms and the level of privacy you have. The shutter style, configuration and louvre you choose will determine how much daylight can come in and how easy it is to see into your home from the outside.

Bifold shutters open using a concertina-style mechanism. Each separate panel connects to the next using durable metal hinges and stack neatly on top of one another against your walls when pulled open.

Yes, BBSA research shows how installing shutters on your windows can help to keep it warmer in colder weather. Bifold shutters act as an insulating barrier, stopping cold air from entering your room and keeping the warmth generated by radiators or electric heaters inside.

Our faux wood bifold window shutters are made using polyvinyl chloride (PVC), a type of durable plastic that is easy to clean. Our premium PVC shutters have a smooth, elegant finish that is longer lasting than hardwood.

This will depend on the size and quality of your shutters. Our customer service team will be able to advise you on how long it should take to install your shutter when you place your order.

Before fitting bifold shutters to windows, ensure you have cleared the area of any obstructions, ornaments, wall hangings and furniture. This will make the installation process safer and easier.

First, check there are no obstructions that could affect being able to open or install bifold shutters. Once you've confirmed that's ok, simply measure the width of your window or door in three places, at the top, middle and bottom and use the smallest measurement. To measure the height, do so in three places, at the left side, middle and right side, use the smallest measurement.
