Measure in three places, across the top, middle and the bottom, this allows for any variances (such as part tiled walls).

Use the smallest of these measurements - We will make a small deduction to ensure that the blind fits perfectly within the recess, allowing for the blind fixtures and fittings.

If installing outside of a window recess, measure the recess in three places, across the top, middle and the bottom, this allows for any variances. Then add a minimum of 10cm to the widest measurement for the overlap. This will give you your exact overall blind width.

Measure the recess drop (length/height) in three places, from top to bottom across the left, middle and right side of the internal window opening, this allows for any variances.

Use the smallest of these measurements - No deductions will be taken from your measurement.

If your blind does not sit within a recess or you simply want us to make a blind to your sizes with no deductions, measure the overall drop you require from top to bottom, including the blind headrail and any overlap to ensure you get full coverage. Then add a minimum overlap of 10cm to the top and bottom. This will give you your exact overall blind width.

If you have a wooden baton above the recess, we advise you to measure from the top of the baton to where you want the blind to finish as your exact drop.

I am a very pleased repeat customer. Lots of helpful measuring and fitting tips on the website. Both blinds fit perfectly. The older blind (6yrs old I think) is as good as the day I fitted it and I'm confident the most recent one will stand the test of time too. Cords and mechanism in the older blind has handled 6 years of daily use. I've only ever cleaned with the slats with a feather duster as suggested on the website. Both blinds are matt white painted wooden slats and 6 years on there are no chips or worn areas. Very please with both purchases.
