Measure in three places, across the top, middle and the bottom, this allows for any variances (such as part tiled walls).

Use the smallest of these measurements - We will make a small deduction to ensure that the blind fits perfectly within the recess, allowing for the blind fixtures and fittings.

If installing outside of a window recess, measure the recess in three places, across the top, middle and the bottom, this allows for any variances. Then add a minimum of 10cm to the widest measurement for the overlap. This will give you your exact overall blind width.

If you have a wooden baton above the recess, we advise you to measure this as your exact width.

Measure the recess drop (length/height) in three places, from top to bottom across the left, middle and right side of the internal window opening, this allows for any variances.

Use the smallest of these measurements - No deductions will be taken from your measurement.

If your blind does not sit within a recess or you simply want us to make a blind to your sizes with no deductions, measure the overall drop you require from top to bottom, including the blind headrail and any overlap to ensure you get full coverage. Then add a minimum overlap of 10cm to the top and bottom. This will give you your exact overall blind width.

If you have a wooden baton above the recess, we advise you to measure from the top of the baton to where you want the blind to finish as your exact drop.

The Ecostyle Frost sample in distinctly not white being an off white yet the blinds are white, this issues has not yet been resolved by Swift Blinds

Very pleased with the faux wood venetian blinds however fitting the recessed blinds proved more troublesome on the smaller windows due to small side clearance (0- 5mm), but sufficient (>10mm) on larger windows. Furthermore due to the design of the headrail end brackets it can be difficult to place them right in the corner of the window recess due to wall join. By the way the windows were measured using a laser rule to get correct measurements. In hindsight it would of been better to know the exact allowance required when ordering blinds for recessed windows.
