Matthew Ellis Matthew Ellis May 2021 The blinds are not as specified in the advert. The advert mentioned the remote would have a timer function and it would be able to control many blinds at once. The remote certainly has no timer function and the controlling multiple blinds at once is still a mystery after contacting both swift direct and the manufacturer of the motor (Somfy). I am a physics PhD student and quite competent in electronics and normally don't struggle with this sort of thing, but this has proven to be beyond my grasp. The blinds are fine if you want to simply have a motor roll up and down the blinds when you specify it with the remote. Anything more and you'll find it hard.
Mr Paul Gillett Mr Paul Gillett May 2021 We needed a wide electric blind with remote control to suit the location. The blind itself was fine, but the remote appeared to be misconfigured, refusing to operate. Tech support was useless, merely reiterating the instruction leaflet which I had already worked through, although clearly she hadn't actually experience of the particular range. After trawling the internet, I found a video that covered the process and enabled me to reconfigure the blind motor, including limit points, from scratch and to link the remote. Not a bad product, but when things go wrong, don't expect Customer Support to live up to its title.
