Multicoloured Curtains

The key to styling multicoloured curtains is picking out one or two colours from the pattern and echoing them elsewhere in the room — in cushions, throws, or accessories. For walls, choose a neutral from the curtain's palette, a background cream or white within the pattern is usually the safest choice. Avoid adding too many other patterns to the room; multicoloured curtains work best as the focal point, with more restrained textiles elsewhere.

Patterned and multicoloured curtains are firmly in style, particularly as maximalist and eclectic interior design continues to grow in popularity. Floral, geometric, and abstract patterns have all seen renewed interest, with a particular trend towards large-scale, expressive designs. The key is balancing them with simpler, more restrained soft furnishings elsewhere in the space, and letting the curtains be the clear statement piece./p>
