What do the different Measurement Types Mean?

We have two measurement types for Venetian Blinds, each of them will produce a different sized finished blind.  It’s important to check you have selected correctly to ensure the blind fits nicely when it arrives.

Recess Size this measurement type is suitable if you have measured wall to wall in the RECESS.  When selecting this option, we will take a small tolerance from the width and drop you have provided.  The finished blind you receive will be slightly smaller to allow the complete blind and fittings to fit inside the window recess.

Exact Size this measurement type is suitable if you are fitting the blind outside of a recess and you know the EXACT size you would like the blind to be.  We will make no deductions to the finished blind size & the blind will arrive at the exact size you have measured.  This is also suitable if you have already made your own allowance for the fitting brackets etc.

Why does control selection matter?

For our Venetian Blinds we have a couple of control options.  We like to make sure the blind is versatile and works well for your space.  Below are the details of each so you can select which is most suitable.
 
Left Hand Control Wand & Cord This option will have a control wand and cord on the left-hand side of the blind.  The wand is used to tilt the slats which always light control in the room.  The cord is colour co ordinated to match the blinds & this is used the raise and lower the blind.
 
Right Hand Control Want & Cord This option will have a control wand and cord on the right-hand side of the blind.  The wand is used to tilt the slats which always light control in the room.  The cord is colour coordinated to match the blinds & this is used the raise and lower the blind.

Upgrade to electric?

Thinking of taking the plunge & upgrading to an electric venetian. What are your options?

Tilt & Raise Motor – This motor will lift and lower the slats but will also tilt the slats. This option is the first choice for ultimate light control. Now with an introductory half price offer of £40

Tilt Only Motor- A tilt only motor will just tilt the slats. Great for spaces that require a mix of light control & privacy.

Please note; not all venetian styles are supported by both motors. You may find only one is available for your blind choice.
