Plantation shutters will keep your rooms darker than other types of window dressings, such as fabric curtains and blinds, so are an excellent choice if you want to stop light from entering a bedroom. Some customers layer their shutters with curtains or roman blinds to provide an even better blackout experience.

We recommend full-height shutters for patio doors, french doors and sliding doors. They gracefully cover the entire door for a gorgeous aesthetic and can be effortlessly folded back during the day to allow entry in and out of the space.

Our shutters are designed with a bi-folding system, allowing each panel to fold back and stack neatly, making them perfect for patio doors, french doors, and sliding doors. It's important to note that we don't recommend using bi-folding shutters on bi-fold doors for optimal functionality.

This will depend on the size of your door shutters and how many you’re installing. Our customer service team will be able to advise you on how long it should take to fit your shutters when you place your order.

Before fitting shutters to your doors, ensure you have cleared the area of any obstructions, ornaments, wall hangings and furniture. This will make the installation process safer and easier.

Yes, you can order free samples of any of our shutters before placing your order. Our product and interior design specialists will support you at every step of the way, ensuring you feel completely confident in your choice of door dressings.

Firstly, you’ll need to check there are no obstructions that could affect being able to open or install your full-height shutters, such as if your doors open inwards. Once you've confirmed that's okay, you will simply measure the width of your doors in three places, at the top, middle and bottom and use the smallest measurement. To measure the height of your doors do so in three places, at the left side, middle and right side, use the smallest measurement.
