Why Roman Blinds?
Roman blinds are great for adding a feel of style and luxury to rooms. We have a beautiful range of fabrics, from suedes & crushed velvets to bold, contemporary colours. If you are looking to make a feature of your blinds, we have patterned fabrics, with florals, stripes, checked to name a few. All our roman blinds can be matched with curtains in a co ordinating fabric. Our Roman blinds have the benefit of being lined with a standard, light filtering lining or a blackout lining, this gives them excellent versatility between rooms. We also have the benefit of being able to deliver some as quickly as Next Day with our Swift Track delivery.
Where to fit Roman Blinds?
Roman blinds are a beautiful soft cloth product, they are suitable for most spaces. They look beautiful in bedrooms, living rooms & dining rooms. We also have a range of fabrics specifically selected for children’s bedrooms, including jungle prints & alphabet prints - pair this with our blackout lining for a perfect aid to a restful night’s sleep. We have specially selected fabrics that will compliment almost all interior decor styles. Due to roman blinds being made with soft cloths, they will absorb moisture so we wouldn’t recommend them to be fitted in any areas with lots of water, including kitchens, bathrooms, shower rooms etc. as it will be harder to keep them clean & dry. That being said, we have plenty of examples where customers have fitted them in bathrooms & images of these can be found on our Instagram account.
Control Options for a Roman Blind?
Our Roman Blinds are raised and lowered using a side control chain. This can be fitted on either the right hand side or the left hand side of the head rail. We also have an option for a chrome control chain with some of our Roman Blinds meaning you can get the desired finishing touch for your window dressing.
All our control chains are completely child safe and will be supplied with a P-clip to fasten the chain safely to the wall and a chain with breakaway clips that will come apart when subjected to increased weight or tension (the breakaway clips are supplied for a longer chains only).
Lining options for a Roman Blind?
Standard Lining is a light filtering sateen lining so perfect if you don’t want to completely block out the light. This works well in rooms where you would still like to let the light filter in, even when the blinds is lowered, for example, a living room, dining room or hallways.
Blackout Lining will completely block the light from coming through the fabric, perfect for bedrooms or any windows in rooms that get a lot of sun as this will help to keep the space cooler. We offer a free upgrade to blackout lining on a lot of our fabric ranges. Our roman blinds with the blackout lining will be prefect for rooms where you require increased privacy including a bedroom or a nursery.
Interlined Thermal Blackout Lining as with the standard blackout lining will completely block the light from coming through the fabric, however this also has a third layer to the blind which helps to better insulate the room. It provides a thicker, more luxurious looking finish when the blind is hung. Again, perfect for bedrooms and any room that will benefit from a little extra warmth.
