What do the different Measurement Types Mean?
Recess Size
Choose this option when you want your blind to fit inside the window recess
Is Recess Size the one for you?
In simple terms this allows you to measure the size of the window recess and the blind will fit inside this space and won’t stick out into the room. This will give a tidy professional appearance.
When we manufacture your blind, we will make sure we allow the correct tolerances so that the blind fits perfectly into your recess.
Exact Size
This option is the one to choose when you are NOT fitting your blind into the recess and it is important to you exactly what area the blind fabric covers. Always allow for an overlap past the glass on both sides as well as above and below, to get good coverage. We would recommend 10cm minimum all round.
Your Roman Blind will be made exactly to the sizes you give to us.

Lining
All our Roman blinds are handmade with a fixed lining for a quality finish and greater functionality.
Blackout Thermal Lining – our recommended lining is the Blackout premium lining. This option gives added body to the luxurious folds of your blind whilst improving thermal insulation and reducing light penetration.
Interlined Blackout Thermal Lining - Interlining adds a further layer of ‘wadding’ to your blind, further improving the hang, insulation and blackout properties. This type of lining is particularly recommended for lightweight fabrics and for ill-fitting potentially draughty, windows.
Standard Lining - A lightweight semi translucent fabric. We would always recommend one of our Blackout/Thermal lining options.

Battery Power Options Explained
As standard your new electric venetian blind with come with a slim battery wand. Just insert your 8 x AA batteries and you’re good to go. We recommend fitting the wand behind the headrail so it’s hidden from view.
For a small additional charge you can upgrade to a Somfy 12v Li-Ion Rechargeable battery which is charged via an AC charger - this charger can be purchased when you upgrade to the Somfy 12v Li-Ion battery.

Upgrade to electric?
Thinking of taking the plunge & upgrading to an electric venetian. What are your options?
Tilt & Raise Motor – This motor will lift and lower the slats but will also tilt the slats. This option is the first choice for ultimate light control.
Please note; not all venetian styles are supported by both motors. You may find only one is available for your blind choice.

Remote Control Info
One remote will allow you to control multiple blinds or sets of blinds - so if you are ordering more than one electric blind, you will only require one remote control - see the below for more information:
Single channel remote handset - Up to 8 blinds
With your single channel remote, conveniently control up to 8 blinds at the touch of a button and make ease of adjustments for hard to reach blinds using the up, down and stop functions. Smart features memorise your favourite positions so you can make instant adjustments. You also have the option to use the manual mode to control your blinds as a remote handset. The digital display allows you to easily create timers and with a modern pure finish your remote looks sleek and modern.
Multi channel remote handset
Automatically control a set of motorised blinds individually and as a group, using the up, down and stop switch you can also control your blinds using the manual mode. The 5 channel remote Includes a multi-channel hand-held control with the convenience of a programmable timer for ease of use. The digital display allows you to create times and groups for synchronized control.
