What do the different Measurement Types Mean?

Recess Size

Choose this option when you want your blind to fit inside the window recess

Is Recess Size the one for you?

In simple terms this allows you to measure the size of the window recess and the blind will fit inside this space and won’t stick out into the room.  This will give a tidy appearance.

When we manufacture your blind, we will make sure we allow the correct tolerances so that the blind fits perfectly into your recess.

Exact Size

This option is the one to choose when you are NOT fitting your blind into the recess and it is important to you exactly where the brackets are going to be fitted. You might want the blind to hang outsize the recess and be larger than the recess by a certain amount and need your brackets to hang in a certain position.

If you are using exact size you should measure the distances between the bracket locations.

Your roller blind will be made exactly to the sizes you give to us.

Fabric Width

This option is the one to choose when you are NOT fitting your blind into the recess and it is important to you exactly what area the fabric of the blind covers.|

If you are using exact size you should measure the distances between the edges of the area to be covered by the fabric.

Which motor should I select?

Take a look at the different electric motor options for our Cruze and Somfy electric blinds

Cruze

Use a motor to raise and lower your new blind. Both motor options for the Cruze electric roller blinds offer adjustable speed, quieter operation and a soft start & stop motion.

32mm motor is used for blinds on a 32mm tube. Typically this is for blinds with a width smaller than 200cm.

40mm motor is used to support larger blinds on a 40mm tube. Typically blinds over 200cm.

Somfy

The Rollup 24 motor is standard for blinds with a width less than 200cm. These blinds are mounted on a 32mm aluminium tube.

The Rollup 28 motor is used to support larger blinds with a width over 200cm. These blinds are mounted on a 40mm aluminium tube.

Have blinds of differing sizes in one room? Upgrade your smaller width blinds (under 200cm) to a Cruze 32mm Motor or Somfy Rollup 28 motor. This will ensure they match any larger blinds (over 200cm) & will all arrive mounted on a 40mm aluminium tube.

Do I need Bracket Covers?

If you are fitting your roller blind into a window recess you will NOT require bracket covers as the ends of the blind do not show.

The ends of the blind are not visible when a roller blind is fitted within a window recess, therefore bracket covers are not required for this type of fitting.

If your blind is mounted outside of the recess and the ends of the blinds are visible you may want to upgrade and enhance the look of your blind using bracket covers to give a more luxurious and clean look to our quality blinds.
