FAQs about Bifold Door Blinds
Find frequently asked questions about bifold door blinds below, or explore our full library of FAQs for more information and advice relating to your purchase. If you can’t find the answers you’re looking for chat online with a member of our customer service team.
Can you fit blinds to bifold doors?
Yes. Bifold doors need a blind that moves with each door panel rather than a traditional blind fixed above the frame. Our stick on blinds and clip on blinds are both made for exactly this - they attach to the individual glass panels, so the doors still fold and open freely.
What are the best blinds for bifold doors?
The best blinds for bifold doors fit flush to each panel, need no drilling, and don't get in the way when the doors fold back. We recommend our stick on blinds and clip on blinds for this reason. Both are made to measure for a neat, integrated finish and come in a range of styles and colours to match your door frames.
What's the difference between stick on blinds and clip on blinds?
Clip on blinds fix using brackets that slot under the rubber beading of your PVC or aluminium frames, with adhesive side channels running down either side of the glass to minimise light bleed; the blind then simply clips onto the brackets. stick on blinds skip the beading altogether - the adhesive side channels stick straight onto the glass, and the blind clips onto brackets already fitted to those channels.
Will the blinds stop my bifold doors from opening?
No. Because each blind is fitted to its own panel and sits ultra-slim against the glass, the doors fold, slide and open exactly as before. The blinds simply travel with the door.
Will the blinds damage my door frames?
No. clip on blinds are fully removable and leave no marks, as nothing is drilled or glued to the frame. stick on blinds use adhesive brackets designed to hold securely while still being removable.
Do I need a separate blind for each door?
Yes. Bifold doors work best with one blind per glass panel so each moves independently with its door. Simply count your panels to know how many blinds you need.
