Measuring for Perfect Fit Blinds
Measuring for perfect fit blinds is easy when you follow our handy guide.
 
We need the visible glass measurement to make your new made to measure blind.
 
So how do I measure?
 
We need just 4 measurements from you 

  • Width – The measurement from side to side, no need to measure the beading we just want the measurement for the visible glass!  
  • Drop – The top to bottom measurement of the visible glass on your window. Again, don’t include the beading in your measurement. 
  • Depth (Fixing brackets) – This is the measurement from the face of the frame to the visible glass.  Take the measurement in the corner the window using a straight edge to match up with the tape measure. 
  • Surround – You need to check the space surrounding the handle is clear by 25mm. You need at least 25mm of clearance to ensure the blind can fit & your window handles can still be used.
The no drill and screw installation is quick and easy and protects your uPVC frames.

Please note; Measurements are taken using the same method whether you are looking at venetian, roller, pleated, wooden or Day & Night perfect fit blinds. Perfect Fit blinds are only suitable for uPVC windows.

I ordered a green blind it’s actually green and white. Buyer beware. Customer service is terrible. Non existent to be honest.

After receiving the correct coloured frame the blind is nice. But didn’t appreciate having to take the incorrect one apart. Customer services who I called 3 times (takes about 20mins to get through) had told me a new blind would be despatched. Not just a frame that arrived that was worse to rebuild and attach the actual slats than a game of jenga.

I ordered 3 of these. One of the blinds came with missing a part, and Swift Blinds were not very helpful at sorting this out (see review re service). You can see which bit was missing from the photos comparing the 2 sides of the bottom end of the blind. As the blind kept popping out on the defective side when I moved the it up and down, the plastic here broke. Swift Blinds sent me a "replacement part" which was completely the wrong thing (3rd photo)! They have sent me a corner section for the main frame in brown (and our frames were white!!) rather than the missing end piece of the bottom rung of the blind. The other 2 blinds are ok. They are nice and light and fairly easy to fit as long as you can make minor adjustments to the frame size yourself by fiddling with the screws holding the frame together.

Blinds were great . Had to mark the points where the brackets went by offering them up, as the credit card way didn’t line up.

Haven’t included enough screws to put it together properly and don’t answer communications to get the correct amount. I now have several blinds I can’t use.
